40 Million Adults Currently Suffer from Sensitive Teeth

Sensitivity can be caused by multiple factors such as exposed dentin, tooth whitening, dietary choices, hygiene procedures, etc. Opalescence™ Whitening Sensitivity Relief Toothpaste adds all of the benefits of the Original, plus the maximum strength (5%) of potassium nitrate. That maximum anti-sensitivity power helps provide relief by depolarizing the nerves, while the sodium fluoride occludes the dentin tubules. The sodium fluoride (1100 ppm) also strengthens enamel and helps fight caries.

Outstanding Flavor and True Enamel Strengthening

Both formulas offer an outstanding flavor profile that combines 3 exotic mints. It freshens breath and leaves the mouth feeling clean and cool. Both are also sweetened with xylitol, which may reduce the risk of tooth decay.

Our Original Cool Mint formula has set a new standard, because the quality of the tri-silica blend works together to actively, yet gently, remove surface stains. A low abrasion RDA (Relative Dentin Abrasion) factor of 90 means this can become your patient’s daily toothpaste for life.

Why is RDA important?

Dentin is up to 4 times softer than enamel.

The FDA limits RDA to 200, the ADA 250 for whitening toothpaste. These high abrasion formulas have an erosive effect on dentin and enamel. Higher RDA showed increased dentin wear. This in turn makes patients more susceptible to tooth decay, gum recession, increased sensitivity, and decreased luster of restorations.

Opalescence Whitening Toothpaste has half the RDA of other leading whitening toothpastes. Whether Original or Sensitivity Relief it’s been designed for long-term daily use to create a bright, white, healthy smile.

Opalescence Whitening Toothpaste has less RDA compared to other whitening toothpastes

We hope you recommend it!
