In this presentation, Dr. Rafael Beolchi will discuss the basics of light curing: power, irradiance, collimation, and wavelength. He will examine how much time one should cure and the importance of the size of a curing light. He will also go over the clinical implications and consequences of a proper light curing procedure versus an incorrect procedure and the failure rate of composites.

Lecturer: Dr. Rafael Beolchi, DDS, MSc
Dr. Rafael Beolchi majored in dentistry at the University of São Paulo (USP) and has maintained a private practice since 2001, working mainly in esthetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation. In 2009 he received his Master’s degree in biomaterials from the Institute of Energetic and Nuclear Research, USP. He is a member of the Academia Brasileira de Odontologia Estetica. He is responsible for the Continuing Education Course on Aesthetics with Direct Composite Resins of FACOP – Sorocaba Center. He also teaches the post-graduate course of the Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic, Campinas, Brazil.
